The Farm that really danced.....

Whangamatā geared up to host New Zealand’s first ever Kickdown Festival on 20 – 23 January 2022. Highlights of the three-day festival included the opportunity for motorbike enthusiasts and their passengers to win $1m cash and be part of the biggest ever posse to ‘Ride the Loop’ with up to 2000 others whilst taking in the stunning scenery of the Coromandel Peninsula. The festival drew to a close by Saturday’s Kickdown concert, being held at Joe’s Farm and featuring the very best of New Zealand rock. Headlined by rock royalty Shihad, who will be joined by fellow rock legends, Devilskin and Hello Sailor, as well as Kiwi favourites, Stellar, The Jordan Luck Band & Good Shirt .

The absolutely best time at the Sundown Festival 2022  was held on January 2nd. The fantastic weather, the incredible sound, a crowd that was truly pumped to reggae delight. Crowds were so impressed with the organiser’s plans – the food was massively abundant, the toilets flushing – and more than needed, the ambulance staff (if needed, on offer), drinks sensible and with a respectful crowd. The fever of the day was all about music, not any other agenda – a true musical event like the good old days,

Organisers of Coromandel's newest summer event, Dance Farm Festival, held on Saturday 8 January 2022 had a line-up worthy of international coverage. Everyone was dancing to a fabulous summer day, plentiful in colour and sounds as clear as any world stage. Singer-songwriter sensation  Benee, Mitch James, electronic duo Sachi, and beloved songstress Ladyhawke, took to the stage for the inaugural festival on 8 January, at Joe's Farm in Whangamatā. The talent didn’t stop there: Niko Walters, LA Women, Georgia Lines and There's A Tuesday also joined the line-up and the crowd grew and grew as the day progressed to night.

Event organiser Denis Beaver, from Coro-Events, said Dance Farm was shaped up to be a summer event that music lovers would not want to miss. "We're were thrilled to have secured such an incredible line-up of local talent for our first-ever Dance Farm Festival" and he was so very right !
